You know I dig a restaurant if I immediately put it's number in my phone so I can have it delivered at a later date ;-)

We scoped out Sally O'Neal's Gourmet Pizza in Hyde Park last night & it was amazing!!  Wanna try it too??  Click here...I promise you will not be disappointed.  Be ready for tons of fresh veggies, a butt-load of cheese & a whole lot of yummy in your tummy!

This za is the shizz!! Except for the part where I got spinach in my teeth, but I made sure Corey inspected my grill before I left the restaurant.  It's Katie Protocol.

    What Were You Thinking?

Life would be so much simpler if it were more like the movies. The homely looking guy or girl would get the pretty model or the star football player. The wicked are always punished in some horrible and ironic way that causes karma to realign. No one would have to worry about war or disease except when it’s in large chunks in order to drive its ridiculous plot.

One guy learned that the movies aren’t real the hard way when he stopped his car in a police chase just as crossed the border thinking police couldn’t arrest him, according to WMTW.com.

He led police on a short chase, then when he crossed the city’s border, he stopped his car thinking police couldn’t touch him. Little did they know they still have jurisdiction on his ****.

So when he stopped the car in another city and county thinking he had gotten away, police took him into custody. Then in an ironic movie twist, police drove him to jail by driving off into the sunset.

contestando una pregunta de un lector.

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 03:13 PM EST [General]

    abrazos. (gracias por participar)

    Calm after the storm

    Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 05:11 PM [General]

Storm: fighting the urges and cravings, when all the consequences of the past don't seem as important at the moment.

So this is what an honest start to sobriety feels like...strange I've never felt it before. I know why, of course, because I thought I had a million chances and a million safety nets to catch me. I know that I have yet to face many of the problems that result from addiction, eventually perhaps face the ultimate consequence of using, but I've reached the point of being too exhausted to keep on the destruction path.

I was supposed to start in-patient on Monday, but someone messed up and there wasn't room for me. They said to keep calling back, which I've been doing, and finally I got a call today saying it's likely I won't be admitted until the 13th. My heart just sank, thinking "oh f**ckkkkk, really??" That's when that internal storm started. Logic has a hard time working at times like those - I have no money around, no car, no possible way to go and buy alcohol. My "logic" switched over to the thought of the anxiety and insomnia pills I have - they could make me feel better, right? Even the memory of waking up in the hospital after my last relapse was being rationalized.

So I had a brief self-pitying cry, which was interrupted by my sick grandma coughing in the next room. I ran out to help her in a heartbeat...my grandpa is at work today and I'm all she has right now. I love her indescribably, and so at that moment I was drawn out of my selfishness to stop and think about my actions.

Sobriety won by thinking of the exhausting aftermath of everything I know will happen if I abuse drugs again (for one, not being there to help my grandma) and by KNOWING what I'm supposed to do now (and what actually works) - stop and think for a second, stupid! I pulled out my list of AA meetings to plan out the coming days, and of course I have my list of numbers of AA friends to call. I still need a sponsor (looking for a temp right now), but I have started working the steps.

I'm feeling really good, grateful for this sober calm after the storm, as well as for all the people who've helped me through it and who will help me again in the future...

    ...thanks.

    Best,

    Margaret

    Christmas

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 03:09 PM EST [General]

Hey guys and gals! Hope you are all well, i am almost fully recovered from my most recent cold so am doing quite well at the moment.

So 23 days til christmas.....who's excited? Anybody? I'm not sure if i am yet. I probably will be when it gets to like christmas eve but till then i'm just going to be stressing about buying everyones christmas presents. Im trying not to spend too much on everyone as i have quite a few to buy for but its so hard to get something nice when you have a budget.

I love the atmosphere of christmas, all my family have always gone to my nan's house for christmas for as long as i can remember. We usually spend the morning at our own homes exchanging presents and stuff like that, have christmas dinner then go to my nan's house at about 2 in the afternoon where we all exchange more presents and my nan always makes a buffet tea. Its like a tradition in our family we all help set out all the food and we all pull crackers and stuff and we all have to wear the little hats you get in them for at leat 5 minutes for some photos its insane but i wouldn't want to spend my christmas any other way. We usually end up playing a random board game and you don't think it's going to be as much fun as it actually is.

That is what makes christmas for me. All the stupid little things, the details. And my family.

The only thing i am not looking forward to about christmas this year is having to spend the entire day with my older sister. Its pretty much a well known fact within our family now that me and her hate each other (im not even joking we really do hate each other) so its going to be interesting to see how the day pans out. I don't want to argue with her on christmas day but i can pretty much guarentee something will go down before the day is out between her and me. I am not looking forward to it one bit.

On a better note i hope all of you have amazing christmas' i know its still ages til the day but i had better say it now otherwise i will forget nearer the time.

    love to everyone xxx

    Faith Hill Photo Shopped?

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 03:09 PM EST [General]

I don't know why this is starting now- I googled "Faith Hill, Shape, retouching" and there were all kinds of stories and blogs with opinions about the amount of touch-ups that were done on Faith's photo.

I personally think Faith is getting a raw deal on this one.  If you'll remember the Redbook fiasco, where the photo shopped AND original photos made their way online and EVERYONE had something to say about it, as if it was Faith had asked them altar her!  I can't imagine her allowing them to do major changes after what happened with the other magazine.  Plus, she talks about doing Pilates and working hard.  I'm with Faith on this one.  Here's her cover photo, what do YOU think?

Does Oprah really have a short blonde buzz cut?

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 03:08 PM EST [General]

This story comes to us from Star Magazine. We would have heard it somewhere else or better yet, seen photographic evidence, if this was true. It's still so interesting to contemplate as a potential story that I couldn't pass it up though. Oprah Winfrey supposedly has almost no hair and what little hair she does have is dyed blonde like that "Stop the Insanity" woman:

Oprah Winfrey is always discreetly flanked by two massive security guards when she works out at Chicago's pricey East Bank Club spa and gym. But her beefy protectors have little to worry about, since the 54-year-old TV mogul is virtually unrecognizable. In fact, Star has learned exclusively that when Oprah wants to go incognito, she simply takes off her wig to revealed a dyed-blonde buzz cut. "Nobody ever notices Oprah in the gym," says an eyewitness. "She doesn't wear makeup or a wig. Her head is practically shaved and she dyes the little hair she does have blonde. If she is recognized, it's because of her voice!"

[From Star Magazine, print edition, December 8, 2008]

This tidbit is in the cover story in Star: "Hollywood Bodyguards Tell All," and also includes the details that Oprah's people move her seat with her in it while she's on stage and that she has someone put her shoes on for her after she walks on stage barefoot. Those two parts I would believe as there are potentially thousands of studio audience witnesses, but Star is really stretching it with this blonde buzz cut story. That said, there's no way that's Oprah's natural hair. She's got to have something under there.

Oprah is shown on 11/25/08 at tree planting ceremony at the Oprah Winfrey Leadership Academy for Girls at Henley-on-Klip, South of Johannesburg, South Africa with Nobel Peace Prize winner Wangari Maathai. Credit: BARM/Fame Pictures

    On the stadium expansion

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 03:07 PM EST [Bearcats]

I know there are old plans floating around on the internet from Trahan Architects out of Baton Rouge -- there are these three pictures on their website. Those are old and dated.

The architects Mike Thomas has hired are from HNTB in Kansas City, which also has an office here in Cincinnati. The stadium HNTB has done that most here would be familiar with is Louisville Slugger Stadium in Louisville, home of the Bats. They also did Invesco Field in Denver, home of the Broncos.

Thomas said he'd brought architects from the firm to the Pitt game, so they could see the struggles of the stadium at capacity.

Thomas put no timetable on the expansion nor did he specify how many seats would be added. Only that it Nippert "has always been to some extent a facility that needs to be addressed. We’re in the midst of a capital campaign and our case statement for athletics, Nippert Stadium was in the capital campaign, but for us as I said then and I’ll say now, we really needed a trigger moment to launch that thing."

    JUST TO REFRESH EVERYONE'S MEMORY:

about two years ago..brilliance graced these plumped up lips o' mine..(shout out to dr. t. and leslie)

i spoke of the amazing feats britney spears would accomplish in due time...i share them below, once again...

    -she would divorce kevin federline

-she would have a mental breakdown

    -she would make a comeback

-she would get back together with justin timberlake

soooo, as of today...i think there is only ONE LEFT.

yes, even though he is the biggest tool of all time...i really think justin and brit brit will be joining and p and v, soon.

    why? must you ask?

jessica biel = booooooring! plus first loves die hard.

dude, jessica biel may have a rump..an apple bottom...a bootylicious whatever but come on. just look at how far it got skinny marie.

i know, you all think i'm crazy and sniffing hair dye..which i will have you know..I AM BRUNETTE now..which means it's just one application...but i swear I AM NOT.

i said this would happen...and i don't have a crystal ball...i haven't planted any statues upside down in my yard...i don't starlight, starbright..

    I JUST KNOW.

what do ya'll think? does anyone remember when i said all of this?

Have you seen the stars lately?

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 03:06 PM EST [General]

Something unique is happening in the skies this week - the Moon, Venus, and Jupiter are all within two degrees of each other. The next time the two planets, Jupiter and Venus, and the moon will be visible like this will be the week of Nov. 18, 2052. The moon was the brightest of the three, but was also the smallest. The moon came in at 252,000 miles away - Venus 94 million miles away - and Jupiter 540 million miles away... kinda gives you an idea how big Venus and Jupiter are compared to the moon. Be sure to take a look around sundown one night this week. (Text from CNN.com)

Isn't it a great time to be alive, awake and aware of our surroundings??

    Hello new friends

Tuesday, December 2, 2008, 02:01 PM CST [General]

I'm sure that everyone has been as busy as I have with trying to get ready for the holidays and sell as much of their inventory as they can  before Christmas.  I just wanted to wish each of you the best of luck.
